Services
Services are held every Sunday at the Yonkers and Long Island churches (unless otherwise noted in the calendar), once a month in both Latvian Schools, and on Sundays in Nometne during summer camp programming.
Latvian Schools
Join our Latvian Schools in New Jersey or Yonkers. Both schools are appropriate for Latvian speaking children from Pre-K to 8th grade. The Yonkers School also offers Latvian as a Second Language Courses (LSL) for adults. The principals are eagerly awaiting your arrival!
Camp // Nometne
Our Catskill Mountain property, Nometne, offers summer programming for children of all ages in both Latvian and English. We also host a special week-long program for our older generation, “Senči.” The family-oriented 3x3 also happens at Nometne every August.
During other times of the year, feel free to come up for a restful weekend, or even book all of Nometne for a private event!
Our parishes, school, and Camp organize variou sevnets throughout the year, including Latvian School Christmas parties, the Miķelis Day market, Easter breakfast, the Pancake breakfast, the annual fundraising event “Melnais lācis,” the Harvest Fest, and many more. Community Events
The Relief Fund, under the direction of Māra Ziediņa, helps our older congregation members wherever and however they may need, including helping with organizing estates and associated documents.
